Celebrating the past... embracing the future.
As a faith community, we trace our origins all the way back to 1799. That doesn't, however, mean that we're a church who is stuck in the past. While we value our history, and celebrate our longevity, we also strive to be relevant to, and engaged with, the world. You will experience something like an old-fashioned, country church feeling in our congregation, but you'll also find that we use technology in worship and enjoy a wide range of both traditional and contemporary music. We're diverse in many ways - in age, gender, race, culture, education, wealth, religious background and political views. What we agree on, however, is that God loves everybody, and that we're called upon as followers of Jesus to care for each other, and for our neighbors. We'd love for you to come visit us!
Brooks Bar-B-Q today beginning at 4 p.m. We have both chicken and ribs, full dinner or meat only. See you there!
Back for a Fourth Season!
We are once again providing space for young talent (ages 12-18) to perform in a safe, funky environment. All types of performances are welcome (comedy, spoken word, singing, instruments, etc.). All ages are invited to come enjoy the entertainment and cafe!
Youth & families from the church transform the basement hall into a coffeehouse for the evening and run a cash cafe with hot food, beverages, and baked goods. There's a suggested donation of $5 at the door. All proceeds help defray the cost of youth ministries. Connect with us on facebook: NUMC undergrounds coffee house. Performers should email email@example.com to sign up.
We offer a safe, creative, and welcoming Sunday school for children age 3 years through 6th grade. The children leave the worship service after the Children's Message and meet up with their parents/guardians during Coffee Hour following the service. All teachers are screened and background checked. Please register your child even if they are only able to attend occassionally.
