Pastor Nick Bufano was appointed to serve as pastor at Newtonville UMC on July 1, 2021. He is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. Nick is a graduate of Lancaster Theological Seminary in Lancaster PA where he received his Doctor of Ministry in 2019 and his Master of Divinity in 2013. Nick is also a trained Spiritual Director and received his certificate in spiritual direction from the Shalem Institute of Spiritual Formation (Washington DC) in 2013. Nick considers it a privilege and is proud to be pastor of such a warm and welcoming congregation, where the people continually seek ways to grow deeper in their relationship with God, with each other, and with all of God’s creation. Nick is passionate about preaching and teaching, as well as discovering new ways for NUMC to reach out to the world that needs the church more than ever, and finding ways for people to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Brandon Malowski is our director of music. A music teacher at the Lisha Kill Middle School, Brandon is gifted at working with a wide range of musical abilities and interests, enjoys writing musical arrangements, and has skills with musical technology. Most of all, he brings a sense of joy to our worship.
Joanna Feuer is our administrative assistant. She holds a BA in theater performance from the University of Maryland and has worked in offices in NYC for the past 15 years. She has a small farm which she maintains with her husband and can be heard singing at various venues throughout the Capital Region.
